Safety, Health & Environment Policy:

At DSA we are committed to the pro-active management of our safety performance to prevent workplace accidents, ensure compliance with legislative requirements, alignment with best practice OHS management and identification of opportunities for continual improvement. To facilitate this, DSA has a full time OHS Advisor and utilises the services of external OHS consultants to provide us with the continual professional support in the area of Occupational Health and Safety. As a result of this DSA has developed comprehensive documentation including;

  • Safety Health & Environmental Management Plan (SHEMP)
  • Safety Policies
  • Safety Procedures
  • Environmental Management Guidelines
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
  • JSA's
  • Operator Assessments
  • Registers
  • Risk Assessments
  • Employee Industrial Relations Management Plan (ERIMP)

All of these are regularly reviewed and audited with targets and objectives set as part of the safety strategy. We believe DSA's policies and procedures reflect on improving the standards set by our clients. As part of this commitment, we have recently performed a full OHS audit and are in the process of working towards becoming certified to Australian Standard 4801 (Occupational health and safety management systems).

DSA is also a Heavy Vehicle Accredited company ensuring our heavy road transport vehicles operate in accordance with the Fatigue Operating Standards and within recognised Maintenance Management Standards.
